The C-Max Energi is available in two trims; SE and Titanium. It uses a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder gas engine combined with a lithium-ion battery-driven electric motor. This powersplit architecture has the flexibility to power the wheels with the electric motor and gas engine together, or separately. The C-Max Energi features an external charge port that accepts either a 120- or 240-volt charge. Available features include power mirrors, fog lights and 17-inch alloy wheels, power drivers seat, heated front seats, leather seating, dual-zone automatic climate control, hands-free power liftgate, rearview camera, active park assist, navigation system, and Sony audio.
The C-Max Energi receives a facelift and feature adjustments for 2017.
